What three words would you use to describe Rebirth?
Empowering. Heart wrenching. Therapeutic.
Your book has dragons and dragon riders! Would you say dragons are your favorite mythological creatures?
Yes! I love most creatures, though, to be fair (never spiders). But dragons have a special place in my heart, especially now.
What tropes can readers expect to find in Reverie and Rebirth?
The slow burn romance starts burning! There is also a hefty amount of female rage, found family, and destroying the patriarchy.

With which aspect of Aisling's character do you identify the most?
I'd like to say her optimism and hope, but that would be a lie. I think I identify most with her ability to keep going no matter how bad it is around her. The quote from Reverie- "Even if she had to force it from fate" is basically how I live my life.
How did your writing experience differ when writing a sequel?
It was easier in a way because I already knew the characters, I just had to get the story together! But the characters do not always behave, and I spent a lot of time listening to them and where they naturally were taking the story. It took a long time to write the final chapter because I didn't want to say goodbye!

Both of your books have amazing reviews! How does it feel knowing readers love your books?
I don't look at reviews!! It's not good for my mental health, but I am thrilled that people like and relate to the story as much as I do. It's the beauty of the reading community- the sense of belonging we feel with each other and with the characters. When you read, you're never alone.
What advice would you give to new authors?
Just start writing. It doesn't need to be perfect or life altering. It just needs to be authentically YOU, and nothing else matters. Also, other authors are not your competition. Ever.
What has been the most surprising part of your author journey?
That people actually want to read my books!
